Leaving Ramsey
The MYA Summer Cruise led by Ernie and Diandus. We left Maryport to go to Douglas, hoping to get to Anglesey. However, with a strong SW wind for most of the next fortnight we had to do Plan B - sail around the Isle of Man. We sailed into Ramsey, Douglas, Port St Mary, Peel and back to Ramsey, before returning to Whitehaven (for the festival), then Maryport. We explored the IOM by Electric Railway and bus, and a very enjoyable time was had by all.
A big thank-you to Douglas Bay Yacht Clubhouse for making us so welcome, and feeding us - wonderful! We'll be back!!!!
